Croscill Home has made its bed in the textile industry. The company makes coordinated home furnishings, including linens for bedrooms, bathrooms, and windows. It also makes pillows, pet beds, table lamps, and accent furniture. Croscill Home's products are sold by major retailers, such as JC Penney and Bed Bath & Beyond, throughout North America and by mail order in Australia, Canada, Japan, the UK, and the US. Croscill claims credit for producing the first decorative comforter and originating the concept of coordinated merchandise. Founded in 1946 by George Kahn, the Kahn family sold the company in 2008 to funds managed by private equity firm Patriarch Partners.
