Is your energy business all dressed up with no place to flow? Learn to love Dresser. The company, formerly Dresser Industries (and once a part of Halliburton), makes flow control products (relief valves, actuators, meters, fittings, and the like for oil and gas exploration), measurement systems (gas pumps and point of sale terminals made by business unit Wayne), power and compression systems (Waukesha engines, fuel testing systems), and other infrastructure technologies (Roots blowers and compressors, piping, and pumps). Dresser serves customers in the oil and gas and power generation industries, as well as water and wastewater, and others worldwide. In early 2011 GE acquired Dresser for $3 billion.
