Morehouse College is the largest private liberal arts college for African-American men. Located three miles from downtown Atlanta, the college has an enrollment of more than 2,500 students. Facilities include the Leadership Center at Morehouse College, Morehouse Research Institute, and Andrew Young Center for International Affairs. The school has courses of study in business and economics, humanities and social sciences, and science and mathematics. It also offers a degree in engineering in conjunction with Georgia Institute of Technology. Notable alumni include civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., filmmaker Shelton "Spike" Lee, and actor Samuel L. Jackson.
