Third Party Verification (3PV) does just what its name implies -- provides third-party verification for telecommunications carriers. The firm uses live agents, as well as speech-enabled and online technologies, to verify customer orders for switching local or long-distance providers or cable service. (Verification by a third party is required by the FCC, FTC, and most states to make such sales by phone legitimate.) 3PV also offers electronic signatures (AssureSign), electronic letter of agency (eLOA), and call recording services. Its customers include EarthLink and Vonage.
