The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) cultivates public safety and the state's agricultural economy through a variety of services and programs. Responsibilities include ensuring food and consumer product safety through inspection and testing; protecting consumers from unfair and deceptive business practices; assisting Florida's agricultural industry with production and promotion of its products; and conserving and protecting the state's agricultural natural resources. The Department has an annual budget of more than $350 million.
