Expansion has been on Hyspan Precision Products' mind since its start in 1968. Operating through six business units, the company manufactures an array of flexible metal tubular products. Its short list offers metal bellows, and expansion and ball joints (Hyspan or Barco), slip joints (Perma-Pax), and wire-braid flex joints. Subsidiary Universal Metal Hose churns out metal hoses (strip wound and corrugated), wire braid, tubing, nozzles, on to complete assemblies. Products are sold directly from manufacturing facilities in the US, a plant in Mexico, and through distributors and Hyspan's sales force, for such end uses as auto, highway, industrial OEM, and HVAC. US defense agencies are among Hyspan's top accounts.
