Clark Atlanta University (CAU) is a historically African-American liberal arts college that enrolls about 4,000 students. The school, which is affiliated with the United Methodist Church, offers undergraduate and graduate degrees through its four schools: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Social Work. CAU is a member of the Atlanta University Center, a consortium of educational institutions that includes Spelman College and Morehouse College. Clark Atlanta University was formed by the 1988 merger of two colleges founded in the 1860s -- Clark College and Atlanta University.
