Lewis & Clark College sends students on an expedition to higher learning. The private university offers bachelor's degrees in more than two dozen majors through its College of Arts and Sciences. Fields of study include the humanities, art history, communications, psychology, natural sciences, and mathematics. The school also offers master's and doctoral degrees at its Graduate School of Education and Counseling and its School of Law. Lewis & Clark has an enrollment of more than 3,500 students. Founded as Albany Collegiate Institute in 1867, the college changed its name to Lewis & Clark when it moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1942.
