Content with containment, Pretium Packaging (formerly NOVAPAK) makes blow-molded plastic bottles and containers using polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounds, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resins. It caters to a high-margin niche, comprised of small to medium orders for custom containers. Pretium is joined by sister companies Airopak and Marpac in turning out an array of specialty designed plastics. Its industrial and consumer customers include General Mills, Colgate-Palmolive, Proctor & Gamble, and Spectrum Brands. In 2010 Pretium, in partnership with Castle Harlan, merged with the former NOVAPAK and its parent PVC Container Corp. as part of a double-barrel transaction.
