If you're ever handed your walking papers, a small consolation would be to have them printed on paper supplied by Central Lewmar, a manufacturer and wholesaler of fine stationery and other paper products. Through its multiple subsidiaries and divisions, the company also distributes electromechanical equipment for packaging and shrink wrapping, serving commercial printers, direct mailers, and publishers, among other clients. The company was formed in the 1994 merger of Central Paper (founded in 1920) and Lewmar Paper (established in 1925). Central Lewmar was acquired by xpedx, the distribution business for International Paper, for about $185 million in 2007.
