Caparo plc is the UK base and steel manufacturing arm of privately held Caparo Group, which is controlled and operated by the Paul family. The company makes such products as structural steel, steel tubes, electrical conduit, and industrial wire. Caparo also distributes a variety of steel products. International operations include Bull Moose Tube in the US and Steel Tubes India. The company operates three of its businesses in the West Midlands area, including Caparo Accles and Pollock, Caparo Precision Tubes, and Caparo Precision Strip. The company was founded by Indian immigrant Swaraj Paul, now Lord Paul and one of the wealthiest men in the UK.
