Thammasat University is dedicated to teaching students about law and politics and a whole lot more. The school provides undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of fields ranging from law to engineering to liberal arts. The university also conducts research through its four research institutes, including the Human Resources Institute and the Institute of East Asian Studies. In addition, Thammasat University offers a doctoral program in business administration, a joint venture with Chulalongkorn University and the National Institute of Development Administration. Starting out as a law school, the university was founded as Thammasat Lae Karn Muang (University of Moral Science and Politics) in 1933.
