The British don't have to cross the pond to drive an American car. Chrysler UK is the UK subsidiary of US-based Chrysler Group. Models sold by the UK company include the subcompact Ypsilon, 300C (a midsize sedan), Delta (a luxury compact), and Grand Voyager (a luxury minivan). Chrysler UK also provides support services to dealers and customers. The company was formed in 2000 after the acquisition of Chrysler Corp. by Daimler-Benz (now Daimler) and renamed in 2007 when Cerberus Capital acquired the Chrysler brand. Cerberus and Daimler gave up their stake in Chrysler in 2009 as the carmaker underwent a Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Chrysler UK was not part of the reorganization.
