You could say Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust is a bit of a shopaholic. The self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT) buys, owns, and operates one of the largest retail shopping center portfolios in the US, with more than 300 wholly or partially owned properties that include power centers, community centers, and lifestyle centers. Among its tenants are big-box stores, such as Best Buy, Home Depot, and Wal-Mart. It also has about 20 property management offices to serve its diverse client base with leasing, asset management, and property management services. Inland Western filed to go public in 2011. It was formerly sponsored by an affiliate of The Inland Group.
