Texas Tech is steadily building its Raiderland empire. The University System comprises the seven campuses of Texas Tech University (TTU), the six campuses belonging to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and Angelo State University. Texas Tech University, home to the Red Raiders, has enjoyed a growth spurt in recent years, with an enrollment at more than 32,000 students. The school's goal is to reach 40,000 students by 2020. It offers doctoral degrees, law degrees, master's degrees, and bachelor's degrees in areas such as engineering, art, psychology, English, communications, biology, and governmental relations. TTU was established in 1923 as Texas Technical College.
