The company franchises My Friend's Place delis that serve specialty sandwiches (hot or cold), pitas, soups, wraps, salads, and desserts in cafeteria express-style eateries. The company has about 25 locations mainly clustered around Atlanta. In addition to dining in, My Friend's Place also offers catering services (breakfast, lunch, desert, fruit and/or veggie trays), and healthy lifestyle advice on its Web site. Dave and Rosalind Katz opened the first six locations in the 1980s. Subsequent growth has come through franchising.
