Meet the hot dog king of the Windy City. Portillo's Restaurant Group is best known as owner of Portillo's Hot Dogs, a quick-service chain offering hot dogs, char-broiled burgers, sandwiches, and crinkle-cut fries from about 45 uniquely decorated locations throughout Chicago and its suburbs. (It also has selected locations in Indiana and California.) Portillo's is a venerable institution that ships its products to fans around the world. The company also runs about a dozen casual-dining spots under the names Barnelli's Pasta Bowl, Key Wester, Luigi's House, and the breakfast-centric Honey-Jam Cafe. Company president Dick Portillo started his hot dog chain in 1963.
