The Utah Governor's Office is served by about 20 cabinet members, including a Commissioner of Agriculture, Executive Director of Corrections, and Commissioner of Public Safety. The governor also makes appointments for some 30 boards, such as the Agricultural and Wildlife Damage Prevention Board and Athlete Agents Licensing Board. Besides signing bills into law or making executive orders, the governor may also make non-binding declarations to honor events and issues. Among the constituent services offered by the governor is a Web site that lists various agencies where residents may find assistance. Key objectives of the office have included improvements in education, transportation, and the environment.
