The SIIA keeps tabs on Congressional representatives and pirates, alike. The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) is an international trade organization for the software and digital content industries. Its more than 500 corporate members include Bank of America, Bloomberg, Dow Jones, and Sun Microsystems. SIIA offers market research, access to industry information, lobbying, awards, and conferences. It also investigates and prosecutes companies accused of using software or content illegally. SIIA was formed in 1999 by the merger of the Software Publishers Association and the Information Industry Association. The Specialized Information Publishers Association is becoming a division of SIIA.
