Institutional clients, including public retirement funds, employee benefit plans, foundations, endowments, government entities, and insurance firms, account for a majority of the firm's more than $400 billion in assets under management. For retail investors, the company provides private client services, managed accounts, annuities, and college savings plans. AllianceBernstein also owns wealth advisor and research firm Sanford C.
