Wheaton College located in Wheaton, Illinois -- not to be confused with a school of the same name in Massachusetts -- is a interdenominational Christian college. The private school offers dozens of liberal arts programs of study, including a Ph.D. in Biblical and Theological Studies, to its undergraduate and graduate students. Liberal arts programs include literature, music, fine arts, biology, economics, and psychology. Wheaton College has about 3,000 students and a 12:1 student-teacher ratio. Wheaton College was founded in 1860 and is named after Warren L. Wheaton, who donated land to the school.
