Loyola Marymount University (LMU) in Los Angeles is a Jesuit (Catholic) institution with an enrollment of more than 9,000 students. It offers more than 115 graduate and undergraduate programs through four colleges: Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts, College of Business Administration, College of Communication and Fine Arts, and Seaver College of Science and Engineering. There is also the School of Education and School of Film and Television. Other programs include the Graduate Division, Continuing Education Program, and Loyola Law School. LMU has an 11:1 student-to-faculty ratio. The university was formed in 1973 by the merger of Loyola College (founded in 1911) and Marymount Junior College.
