At the Thanksgiving table, many consumers also give thanks to Butterball. The company is a vertically integrated turkey processor (from egg to table). Each year, Butterball produces more than 1 billion pounds of turkey, including many of those that grace America's tables, for the retail grocery and foodservice industries in the US and 30-plus other countries. The company boasts the world's largest turkey-processing plant located in Mount Olive, North Carolina. The poultry processor also operates breeder, growing, and research farms; diagnostic labs; feed mills; and hatcheries. Seaboard Corporation and Maxwell Farms each own 50% of Butterball.
