Mandalay Sports Entertainment plays another game -- Hollywood. The company produces, finances, and distributes movies through its Mandalay Motion Pictures unit. The company has a distribution deal with Universal Pictures, and has produced such films as Sleepy Hollow and Enemy at the Gates. Mandalay Entertainment also has a division devoted to baseball, Mandalay Baseball Properties, which has ownership stakes in Minor League Baseball franchises. Teams include the Hagerstown Suns, the Dayton Dragons, and the Frisco RoughRiders. Sister company Mandalay Media produces mobile digital content. Mandalay Entertainment was founded in 1995 by former Columbia Pictures head Peter Guber, who serves as chairman and CEO.
