The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) brings the world to US food products. A division of the Department of Agriculture, the FAS handles market development, trade agreements and negotiations, and the collection of statistics and market information for agricultural products. Additionally it administers export credit guarantee and food aid programs and funnels income and food to developing nations. The agency's agricultural economists, marketing experts, and negotiators work in more than 90 countries to support American agricultural interests.
