It produces white mineral pigments, manufacturing kaolin, ground calcium carbonate, and precipitated calcium carbonate. Paper manufacturers use those products for coating and filling applications to improve the quality of paper and paperboard. The division of French chemical company Imerys pulls in about a quarter of the parent company's annual sales and operates globally. Imerys Pigments for Paper was created in 2003.
