CE Casecnan Water and Energy won't sell you down the river, but it will sell you the electricity generated on rivers in the Philippines. The company developed, constructed, and is operating a 150 MW hydroelectric plant and irrigation control facility on the Casecnan and Taan rivers on the country's central Luzon Island. It is indirectly owned by MidAmerican Energy Holdings (Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway is a major shareholder of MidAmerican Energy). The company operates the project under contract with the Philippine National Irrigation Administration, a government-owned corporation.
