Keeping an eye on Buckeye Staters' education is The Ohio State University (OSU). The school has an enrollment of about 64,000 students at its flagship Columbus campus, making it the nation's second-largest university in terms of enrollment, after Arizona State University. OSU also has four regional campuses and two agricultural institutes. Its 6,000 faculty members offer instruction in some 170 undergraduate and about 250 graduate programs, with a student-teacher ratio of 19:1. The colleges and schools range from the Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture to the College of Medicine and Public Health to the Fisher College of Business. OSU was established in 1870 as Ohio Agricultural and Mechanical College.
