The US National Central Bureau (USNCB) is the United States' designated contact point for the International Criminal Police Organization commonly known as INTERPOL. The USNCB operates within the guidelines of the Department of Justice and in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security. As the US representative to INTERPOL the USNCB facilitates international law enforcement cooperation, represents US law enforcement at INTERPOL conferences, transmits information between INTERPOL bureaus and US law enforcement agencies, and coordinates information for international investigations.
