What were the odds of crashing while driving and talking on a cell phone? This is a question the National Safety Council (NSC) can answer. The NSC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating Americans on safety and health and stopping as many of the millions of preventable injuries a year as possible. NSC and its about 60 local chapters comprise members from more than 50,000 business, academic, government, labor, and community service organizations. It provides information, education, and training to its members and member's employees on injury statistics and prevention. The group provides consulting services on safety program evaluation and development, incident investigation, and hazard recognition.
