Nishimoto Trading is an importer and distributor of 6,500-plus Asian food products in North America. The company's products include tofu (fermented bean curd), nori (seaweed), kombu (kelp), frozen fish, dried and frozen vegetables, miso, rice crackers, and seasonings, in addition to tea, sake, wine, and beer. Along with its own brands, Shirakiku, China Sea, Mum's, and others, Nishimoto distributes products by such companies as Ajinomoto and Peking Noodle, as well as exports commodities to Asia. Customers are mostly supermarkets and foodservice operators. Founded in 1912, Nishimoto has offices in the US, Canada, Japan, and China, and is part of a group owned by Japanese holding company Nishimoto Co., Ltd..
