NEW Cooperative provides its Iowa member/farmers with a full range of agricultural products and services, including corn and soybean drying, storage, pricing, marketing. The co-op also provides its member/farmers with seed, feed, crop protection, soil sampling, fertilizer and a staff of agronomy experts. It operates via a network of 23 facilities located 14 counties in the northwestern region of Iowa. The organization was formed as the result of a merger of two cooperatives in 1973; it has expanded throughout the years as a result of other co-ops joining NEW. Regarding its name, NEW stands for North East Webster (Iowa's Webster County is part of the company's original service area).
