Children's Hospital of Orange County (aka CHOC) fights kid-sized ailments in southern California. The not-for-profit hospital's main campus in Orange has about 240 beds and provides a comprehensive range of care to young patients, including pediatric and neonatal intensive care. Its CHOC Mission facility (located within the Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo) has nearly 50 beds for pediatric patients, as well as neonatal and pediatric ICUs. CHOC also runs a handful of primary care community clinics and several mobile clinics. It also conducts research and educational programs. The hospital was founded in 1964.
